The Animal Clinic, P.S.C. has served animal owners in Lawrenceburg, KY and the surrounding areas for over 50 years. We are a full service mixed animal clinic, capable of treating all animals large and small. We specialize in preventative medicine, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, herd health medicine, reproductive work for both large and small animals, grooming, and boarding. We have a cattle chute behind our clinic so you can haul in your large animals, or we have a portable chute that we can bring to you. Our doctors also provide emergency availability to established clients after hours.

Our Staff

  • Keith Jacoby DVM is a 1983 graduate of Auburn University. Originally from Louisville, Dr Jacoby has practiced at The Animal Clinic since graduation. He and his wife Delwin have 3 grown sons: Ben, Bill, and Bobby, and Dr. Jacoby is retired from the Army Reserves. The Jacoby family includes a dog names Stella and a cat named Mini-kitty.
  • Aaron Goodpaster DVM is a 1992 graduate of Auburn University and is a native of Anderson County. Dr. Goodpaster practiced in West Liberty, KY for 4 years before returning to his native Lawrenceburg. He and his wife Julie have 2 grown children, Ashley and Austin. Their home includes a Dachshund named Trooper, along with various cats.
  • Josh Brown DVM is a 2010 graduate of Ohio State University. A native of Morehead, Dr. Brown practiced in Idaho for 2 years before returning to Kentucky to work at The Animal Clinic. Dr. Brown and his wife Carolyn have 3 small children: Cora, Schroder, and Josie. They dogs named Dottie and Archie, 3 cats, and several cattle.
  • Summer Hicks DVM is a 2022 graduate of Lincoln Memorial University.  Dr. Hicks hails from Wisconsin, but fell in love with Kentucky during her undergraduate time at U.K. Dr. Hicks recently wed her husband, Jacob, and their home includes 2 dogs, Tinker and Pumpkin, but she is dreaming of the day when she can have land and miniature donkeys!
